What is McCain Thinking?

Here’s a great post about McCain’s VP choice. I guess I’m flabbergasted by this choice. I rarely write about politics on my blog, in fact this is the first time. I mostly supported Hillary, with reservations, but with Obama as the nominee I’m feeling excited by the prospect of an intelligent, progressive, critical thinker in the White House, so it seemed time to write something. His choice is wrong on so many levels, but the one that stands out the most is that McCain is apparently more concerned about winning (if he thinks this will help him get elected) than he is about who will lead our country if he dies or has to step down for any reason. Ideologically she fits the Repbulican bill, but are even Republicans ready to be led by a self-described hockey mom with 18 months experience as the governor of a sparsley populated and extremely rich state that has virtually no economic problems?
Many of us are terrified at the prospect of McBush’s win in November and of Palin’s succession when Johnny pops off in office. Or has to step down medically because of certifiable dementia. This fear is true fear of terrorism–from the Republican partisan party-first, country-last politics. Palin’s records already show her ruthless use of power to get rid of opponents and to surround herself with yes-men–just like Bush. She has no gravatis–check out her nude photos as a beauty queen would-be model, her earlier sex-infused images, her absolute lack of knowledge of foreign policy, her denial of global warming, her corrupt support of Ted Stevens, her current lies about her non-support to the bridge-to-nowhere (she’d supported it, then refuted it in order to take the funds and use them for her own purposes–so the earmark never left her hot hands), her suit against the feds on polar bears on the endangered species list, her anti-woman positions, etc, etc. She is a nightmare for a commander-in-chief, who had never been to Iraq or Afghanistan–check her passport to see how many nations she has visited! She probably does not know the heads of most states, etc, etc. And as mayor of a small town of under 6,000 people, she blew up its budget and was seen as tyrannical and a failure! This is McInSane putting AMBITION first, and Country in danger. I fear for my beloved republic.
